Rye Harbour Discovery Centre Manager Liz Grant will be giving regular updates about what's happening inside (and sometimes outside) the Discovery Centre during the final months of preparation for opening.

This week, it’s all about beaks and feet!

Work is progressing on the interpretation scheme within the Discovery Centre, and we have been looking at the specially-adapted beaks and feet of the birds that regularly visit the Reserve.

There will be hands on, interactive units inside the Discovery Centre for curious minds, and one of these will show how these birds have adapted to feeding and walking in their different habitats.

These hands-on units are being designed to mix learning and fun together with interaction, to encourage a lifelong love of nature and wildlife.
