Rye Harbour Discovery Centre Appeal is hosting a fantastic, fundraising Auction Dinner at The George in Rye on Saturday 17 November for 100 guests.

Dinner tickets are sold out, but everyone is invited to take part in the Rye Harbour Discovery Centre Silent Auction.

Money raised will help build an exciting new facility which will enhance the experience of all future visitors to Rye Harbour - the Discovery Centre. Several of the items you can bid on will take place around beautiful Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. For example, a Camber Castle Tour with Reserve Manager Dr Barry Yates, as well as a plant-hunting trip, a beach treasure hunt and a pond dipping session.

In addition, there is a wonderful variety of items and experiences to bid on - such as a flight in a Tiger Moth, a river trip along the Thames in a Dunkirk boat or a splendid lunch in London at J Sheekey Grill. There are works of art by Matt Barber and Colin Kent, UEFA Champion League tickets, racing at Sandown Park, plus a number of delicious wines.

You can bid anytime from now, with bidding closing at 9pm, Saturday 17 November.

The silent auction is being hosted online, by Fundraising Auctions. Successful bidders will be asked to pay online after the auction finishes.

Wine for the dinner has kindly been donated by sponsors, Oxney Estate and Tillingham Wines. The George, Rye and The Ship, Winchelsea Beach are also sponsors, and most of the lots have been donated by the committee, friends of the campaign and local businesses in Rye and surrounding area.

Many thanks to everyone who is supporting the event.

We look forward to your bids!
